BIO:

GiovanniBotti, m.d., comes from Salò, Lake Garda, Italy and is the head manager and the main surgeon of Villa Bella Clinic, oneof the best equipped and most advanced cosmetic-surgery-dedicated clinics inEurope. Working as a nurse and studying medicine in the night time, finally hereceived his medical degree from the Milan State University. He then went on tocomplete his training in plastic surgery with prof. Faivre (Montreuil Hospital,Paris, France) and with prof. Stricker (University Hospital, Nancy,France).  In the last 20 years he hasbeen travelling all over the world as an invited speaker on the differentaspects of aesthetic surgery and has taught with live & video demonstrationsin events organized by both Universities and Scientific Societies in more than30 different countries. He has published extensively in the fields of face andbreast aesthetic surgery, contributing numerous articles and book chapters tomedical publications, including the Journal of Plastic and ReconstructiveSurgery, Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Surgery Journal. Dr. Botti hasauthored four complete monographies: "Liposuzione ambulatoriale"(1988), "Chirurgia estetica dell'invecchiamento facciale"("Aesthetic surgery of the aging face"-1995), “Mastoplasticheestetiche (“Aesthetic mammaplasties”-2004),"Chirurgia plastica esteticadel midface e del collo" ("Midface and neck aesthetic plasticsurgery"- 2010), translated in English and Spanish. In addition, he haspioneered new surgical techniques including midface and neck lift proceduresand mammaplasties. He served as clinical professor at numerous Universitiesboth in Italy and all over Europe. In a career spanning beyond 30 years, he hasperformed thousands of aesthetic procedures on patients from around the world.Dr Botti was awarded for his contributions to theimprovement of Aesthetic Surgery by the AACS (Philadelphia, 1990), by theJSAPS (Tokyo, 2000), by the ASPRS (Cairo, 2001), by IMCAS, (Paris 2003, etc.),by the RSAPRS (Sinaia, 2006), by the MSAS (Chisinau, 2007), by the AustralasianSociety of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (2010) and by the German Society ofAesthetic Plastic Surgery(2016). He taught several years at the post-graduateaesthetic plastic surgery class of Pavia University and of Siena University andat the aesthetic surgery Master courses of Milan University. He has beenclinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the Verona University from 2002 up tonow. He is also clinical professor of Plastic Surgery at the Universityof Padua.He has been lecturer in the Master Courses of Aesthetic Surgery of the RomeUniversity, of the Genoa University, of the Wien University, of the NiceUniversity, of the Lausanne University and has been the director, together withprof. Mazzola, of the annual Course “Vesalius” on facial plastic surgery (forItalian doctors) of the Bruxelles Free University and of the annual Course onaesthetic plastic surgery of Villa Bella Clinic, as well as of the two annualcourses on aesthetic surgery of the anatomy department of the ViennaUniversity, together with his friend prof. Mario Pelle. He is honorary memberof the French Society of Aesthetic Surgery, of the Aegyptian Society of PlasticSurgery, of the Romanian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, of the MoldavianSociety of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, of the Serbian Society of Plastic,Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery, of the Iranian Society of Plastic Surgeryand of the Australian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He was the firstPresident of the Italian Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE), of whichis still the honorary President. He is an active member of various national andinternational societies  (AICPE, ISAPS,EASAPS, EAFPS, etc.). He is National Secretary of ISAPS (International Societyof Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) for Italy and an ISAPS travelling Professor.  He has always been deeply involved in charityissues and has helped with important contributions various humanitarianmissions all over the world (ISAPS-LEAF, AICPE onlus, Medecin sans frontieres,etc). He enjoys traveling with his family, guitar playing,  and cooking in his off hours. And, perhaps even more important, he loves hisjob!
