Dr. Del Vecchio graduated cum laude from Yale University. He earned his MD degree at Harvard Medical School and then went on to do his residency in general and plastic surgeries at Harvard’s Massachusetts General Hospital. He also received an MBA from Columbia University School of Business specializing in corporate finance.
Well known as a speaker on the international stage, Dr. Del Vecchio’s knowledge and technique of buttock augmentation and medical device technology is in demand at national meetings and conferences. His writings have been featured in multiple plastic surgery publications and he has won many prestigious awards such as the 2019 “Best Paper” award by the Journal of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Del Vecchio is currently a member of the associate staff in the Division of Plastic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital where the subject of his research includes clinical applications of fat grafting to the breast and body. As an Assistant Professor of Surgery, he previously helped train surgical residents at Tufts New England Medical Center. He is also an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
